During our family vacation at Clerk Laithe Lodge, we found it to be a lovely spot to break up our journey to Scotland. We stayed on the ground floor, right by the dining room, which turned out to be convenient for our kids. The spacious room featured stunning views, and it was well-appointed for our needs. What stood out most was the welcoming atmosphere created by the owners, Matthew and Helena. They treated us like old friends, quickly putting us at ease. Our children loved the indoor tennis court - it gave them a place to burn off energy! While we were there, we explored the fields behind the lodge, which was perfect for a leisurely family stroll. We also had a delightful dinner one evening, including hearty breakfasts each morning that kept everyone satisfied. Though we primarily visited due to a family event, we noted that Clerk Laithe would make an ideal base for families looking to hike or cycle in the surrounding countryside. If our travels take us back to the area, I wouldn't hesitate to plan another stay with my family.
